Both started at the same moment, timed for real
Measured on the same Windows 11 PC with three accounts: time from starting the program to a visible window, and private memory once it settles.
The switcher only starts Claude with a different folder. It never sees what happens inside.

There is no networking code at all: no telemetry, no update check.
Sign-ins are never touched
Tokens, cookies and passwords are not read or copied. Each account signs in by itself.
Claude is not modified
Only standard Electron and Windows mechanisms. No patching, no proxy.
No admin rights
Everything goes into your user profile. Releases are built by GitHub Actions, with SHA-256 checksums.
Claude Desktop keeps its sign-in, chats and settings in one data folder. Pointed at another folder, it is another account, running next to the first.
